August 2016

August is kind of a blur!  We went back to work and when we only had a few hours each afternoon with our kiddos, we soaked it up and made the most of it.

Coming home to this sweet smile is incredible!  I miss Jack and Lilly so much when I am at work, but I am truly grateful that I know they are both in great hands at Learning Time and with Mrs. Jackie <3

No one makes Jack laugh and smile quite like Lilly.  He just lights up when he sees her and always has such a great time when she plays with him.

This is one my favorite pictures of the two of them :-)

Darren thinks it's hilarious that Jack has such a big head.  I admittedly have a large noggin, so I think he inherited that from me!

Mommy, no pictures, I'm trying to sleep!

Kid Craft Day!  I love doing this with Lilly, but I think I love watching her work with Darren even more.  When I was a little girl my dad used to give me a shoe box, some tiny nails and a little hammer and let me hammer the nails while he worked in his workshop.  I love that I am seeing Darren and Lilly bond over creating and building together just like my Dad and I <3

Jack was getting tired, but all of the banging at the workshop made it hard to sleep...poor baby!

Lilly knows that one of the best ways to make Jack happy is to sing to him.

Look at our big boy standing up (while being held).  He is getting so strong!  When did our squishy baby boy get so big and strong??

I think I kiss those big squishy cheeks at least 200 times a day...maybe more ;-)

Tiny feet in big strong hands...

Bath time!

There may be dishes to do, counters to wipe, laundry to fold or other tasks to do, but I am just going to sit here and snuggle with my baby boy, and enjoy every moment.

Silly girl :-P

We are so lucky to have these adorable kiddos in our lives.  I am so thankful for our amazing friends.

Look at Jack's little smile in this picture!!  My heart is melting...

Lilly was so excited that we found a Disney game at Guardian Angel.  It is the Disney version of Apples to Apples junior.  She loved playing it and talking about Disney World <3

Lilly loves to color...LOVES to color!  She brings home so many beautiful pieces of art each week, but there was something so special about this one because she is really starting to draw figures and objects more clearly.  The picture is sideways (which is a little annoying because I can't fix that on this Blogger site) but I hope you can tell what this is...I know I can ;-)

Jack Jack just woke up from his nap!  He loves sleeping in his swing, but he is almost too big for it now!  Time, please slow down!

Look at my feet, Ma!

Darren showed Jack how to bite his own toes...lovely ;-)

Look at this sweet boy!  I think he looks like me in this picture (and he looks a lot like my dad <3 )

Thank goodness for bouncy seats!  Jack loves to just sit in his seat while we get ready in the morning.  He is so content and happy.

Here is our beautiful ballerina!

Morning coloring session with Daddy!

Awwww, Kristin and Lilly were so excited to hold Jack!

Thelma and Louise!  Look out world!

When you desperately want to read the final book in a series you have been following for years, but you also desperately want to hold you baby while he sleeps...#mommystruggles

We were at Adam and Ryan's birthday party and Jack Jack met William...cue baby choke hold ;-)

These two little munchkins...I just love them so much!

Tiny toes...Jack's toes and Lilly's toes.

We took down the exersauser for Jack Jack and he LOVED it!

Darren put Lilly to bed and I went upstairs to find this (sideways again...grrrr!).  Look at how Lilly has her leg on his and is also reaching out her hand on his shoulder!  How precious is this??

Oh my goodness...this little baby boy is so incredibly handsome.

Snuggling his puppy!

I love bath time!

Mrs. Jackie has her hands full today with both Jacks!

Sleepy baby boy <3

Getting a report from school (sideways again...I can't even...) that Lilly has great manners and loves books is a huge parenting win for us.  These are two things we have worked SO hard to instill with Lilly since she was very young.  It just feels so good to know that we are not completely terrible at this parenting thing (cause there are days that it feels that way!)

Morning sibling snuggles!

His eyes are breathtaking in this picture

One day they will be fighting and pulling each other's hair and yelling...but not today <3

Happy 5 month birthday Jack Jack!  You have made our little family complete and brought us so much joy!

Lilly's face in this picture is amazing.
