Day 43 – July 22,
2012
It’s hard to believe that my beautiful baby is six weeks old
already! Everyone says that the time
goes by fast, but I had no idea it would be this fast.
Darren went out for a round of golf this afternoon so Lilly
and I were home on our own. Lilly and I
have not been by ourselves for a whole day in a long time. We missed Darren a lot, but it was sort of a
practice round for later in the week when Darren will return to work. I went a little nuts with the pictures today...she is just so cute!
Lilly also slept in her crib for part of the night for the
first time last night. We love putting
her in her little sleeper pajamas now. I
was a little paranoid about it and checked on her a lot, but she seemed very
content and slept very well. My baby is
growing up!
On our way to the store
Happy girl!
Love those dimples!

Day 44 – July 23,
2012
Lilly had her first full night in her crib last night. She is doing such a great job sleeping! I am amazing that I can put her down awake
and she will just coo and relax until she falls asleep on her own. I literally “knock on wood” every time we
talk about how great a sleeper she is; I hope we don’t jinx it!
One of my new favorite games to play with Lilly is sticking
out my tongue at her because she actually does it back! We managed to catch this on video!
Good morning, Lilly!

Lilly imitates me sticking out my tongue - it's adorable! Check out the video below:
I think she is getting sick of being in her seat ;o)
Day 45 – July 24,
2012
Lilly and I went to a La Leche League meeting today. It was a small meeting with only 3 moms, but
it was nice to meet other nursing moms in Fuquay. I got some good tips about nursing and also
learned about amber teething necklaces for babies, which are a natural healing
remedy for pain. I definitely want to
get one for Lilly when we hit that stage.
Later that afternoon Aaron and Marissa came to visit and
meet Lilly. During their visit there was
a huge storm! The wind was blowing so
hard it looked like a hurricane. Luckily
we were all safe inside and just enjoying our visit. It was great to see them and I know Lilly
really enjoyed meeting them.

Day 46 – July 25,
2012
Lilly was an amazing sleeper last night (knock on
wood). She slept for 6 hours and then
for 3 hours. It was so nice for us,
especially since Darren had to get up for work.
Today Lilly and I ran some errands. I had a doctor’s appointment and then we
went to Sears to get her portraits. It
was Darren’s first day back at work, so I was glad to have a few excuses to get
out of the house.
When Darren got home from work, the weather had cooled down
a bit so we decided to go and take a walk.
We just walked around the neighborhood, but it was nice to get out and
enjoy some fresh air.
Nap time with Daddy
Someone's in a good mood after their nap!
Getting ready for our walk
Day 47 – July 26,
2012
Lilly and I went to visit my team at Holly Grove today. I wanted to go in and touch base with
everyone before school starts, and I just wanted a chance to visit. I am SO happy being home with Lilly, but I
definitely miss my team.
Darren had to stay at work until 7 p.m. because it was open
house at school, so I knew it was going to be a long day. I didn’t expect it to get so hot in the house
though. I looked at the thermostat at
one point and it was 80 degrees. I was
worried that the air conditioner was broken.
Luckily Chad came over and got it
working again, but while the house cooled down, Lilly and I went over the Chad
and Michelle’s for dinner. While we were
there, Allie read Ryan and Lilly a book.
It was so cute!

All ready for bed and happy!
She's thinking very hard about something...
Day 48 – July 27,
2012
We went out to meet Darren for lunch today and also got to
see Dave, Maribeth, Ryan and Ryley. Ryan
really seemed to like Lilly.
Lilly and I took a nice nap on the recliner together until
Darren got home. Then Aunt Beck, and
Lilly’s cousins Darren and David came to visit.
It was so nice to see them!
I admit, I adore my daughter's feet and toes!
She has the most adorable outfits! We have friends/family with awesome taste :o)
Her hair is starting to look a little lighter

Worn out after a great visit!
Day 49 – July 28, 2012
We spent a quiet day at home today. We got some things done around the house that
needed to be done and just enjoyed being together as a family.
Lilly seems to be going through her growth spurt right now
because she wants to eat a LOT and when she is not eating, she wants to
sleep. We had a pretty heavy storm at
night, but Lilly is not bothered by thunder or lightning at all. Darren actually opened her blinds when he was
giving her a bottle and watched the lightning with her. I think it was more for his enjoyment than
hers, but she definitely does seem mesmerized by anything with light J
"Do you bite your thumb at me?"
Lilly hung out in her bouncy seat while Mommy and Daddy had dinner
What a personality!! I can't believe she is copying you already. I lOVE the sleepers. She looks so cuddly in them. She really does have an awesome wardrobe. Are you going to be able to keep it up through the teenage years ;0)
